He is sending it out to determine cost to repair. I don't expect to know anything until next Wednesday.

We also found the Mediabridge was not working It was acting up before the install so I was not surprised. No way of knowing which happened first though since initially I lost the 20 seconds of sound and then the next day it was back before it went away and never came back, I think the Mediabridge failed first and then one of the several attempts to get the DSP amp working fried it. Having two issues that were contributing to the problem made it extremely unlikely I was ever going to fix the problem. That's based on the tech expertise of 20 years, how long it took him and the testing equipment he used. He huddled with his other techs a couple of times to recap what he had done and get their opinion of what he planned to do next.

FYI, the black wires in the white connector are video colors. Once we got them connected properly the Nav unit colors were normal and could see that functions were working properly.
Hi bcredliner, are you referring to the oem dsp amp from the factory logic 7 system? Or is this an aftermarket dsp amp you've installed?

It was the original OE dsp amp. I replaced it with the same model OE dsp amp. I also have an aftermarket amp but it is just driving the aftermarket subwoofer I have. It is possible to get the Seicane to work properly using just the original dsp amp.

It has been a while since i read this post end-to-end, so please forgive me if the following question has already been answered.

Does the Seicane S6902 have a screen dimming function, either automatic or manual, for night driving conditions?

My eyes are pretty light sensitive at night, and i find myself manually turning down the OEM screen light via the config menu, every time i drive longer distances at nighttime.
I can't seem find any info about the Seicane's options for this function, if it has any at all?

It has a GREAT dimmer. It can be set to auto but it has a dedicated dimmer button on the face. I use it all the time since I want it VERY dark at night. I wish I could dim my e70's factory nav as well as I can the secaine in the e53.

No idea and with the risk of pissing the wife off if it messed something up by upgrading it I don't see it getting upgraded on the e53.

Im sure one of the ones that upgraded in the past will jump on it

When I was having problems with DSP portion of IBUS conflicting with the Seicane I deleted the app. I downloaded the app 2 days ago so I have the new version. I didn't play with the original version much so never got familiar with all that it would do. That means I won't know if a feature was there before or is new.
