Okey, like this then..:

Hi Tom.

A question regarded a 1,5 year old silverline kit i bought.

I never got it to remember the showing of the mp3 info. If i go to cd6 and choose track02 to display the info on the nav it does, but when i shut down the car, and return later, it is not showing anything anymore. It is as if it forgot what i choosed earlier..

I have a 01 X with retrofitted oem 4:3 nav. I was thinking maybe the fact that it is retrofitted, this is causing the problem.. One of the wires going in to the dice unit is a constant power source i take it. Which one is this.? Maybe if it is not constant it could cause it.?

Thanks.

I would recommend contacting DICE to speak directly with a technician on your issue.

DICE can be contacted at 888.342.3999 or by email at [email protected].

Faulty Dice

After establishing that my dice silverline had gone dead and given up the gost I contacted Dice i have sent them 4 separate emails , not one of them was answered . I phoned them today and the guy called manuel seemed unconcerned and unwilling to give any allowance for the fact that it lasted only 18 months of active use .I have send the communication below and await the answer.

Re Phone Call today and emails ----faulty silverline -- i need a new one . In view of the short time that it has lasted (less than 2 years ) I would appreciate if you could do something on the replacment cost . It seems that I need a new module and i pod connector .This would also need to be posted to me in Ireland .

Matthew,

Unfortunately, there's not much that can be done since you are outside the warranty period (1 year), but email me directly and I'll see what I can do when ready to order a new kit.

They are not answering me either, i sent an email to the address provided by Tom....

Poor support on products are one of the best reasons to not buy the product in the first place...
