Hey .. I am not sleeping yet!

Jose, as sleepless mentioned, the enclosure needs to be "sealed" as required by the sub manual. Regarding the DSP, send me a note when you are ready to wire.

BTW, you have amazing kids ... I have a twin brother myself, but not identical.

Got it and will do. Thanks for the kind words! Hopefully I can contribute something useful once I start this project.

These are the ebay websites I ordered from:

'4 / 8 ga. AGU In-line waterproof Fuse Holder',
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3AIT&viewitem=

'Hi/Low Impedance Adaptor RCA to line'
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3AIT&viewitem=

'24k gold Ring terminals'
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3AIT&viewitem=

The last 2 items (above) can be shipped together.

Radio Shack carries the blue T-line connectors:

Thanx for those added pointers, Carlgo! You also have a point about everything being 'squared'. It would make a difference because my cardboard constructed box is just hitting both of the lower corners of the (upper) subwoofer enclosure's cavity opening.

I'll go Home Depot to get the (2) 4x8 MDF sheets, (3/4" = USD $26.21, the 1/2" = $19.21), and Spatz screws....I don't have air :-|, so I'll have to settle for a powered down variable drill with a screw bit(?) or buy a power screw driver.

X5-limo, do you have the OEM sub installed? (you mentioned you have DSP)

If so, why don't u try to use the OEM box with the Pioneer sub? or make a similar wooden box to the OEM fiberglass box? At lease you will have something to imitate.

Did you build your subwoofer enclosure yet? If so, what sizes, U. S., does Essam's 1.8cm and 0.8cm translate to in places like Home Depot?

I built the box and am ready to install the sub in it.

One question came to mind.

According the ammended dimensions the internal volume comes to 7.139 Cubic litres. Is that right? Does pioneer specify internal box volume or external volume?

Top Box:
25.2x8.6x24.4 = 5288

Bottom Box:
20.4x25.2x3.6 = 1851

Total = 7139CCM = 7.139 Cubic litres.
