I was running v27.1 with no problems, upgraded to v29.1 from the link in the first post. Changed the sky image (now 7.61KB) and the splash screen (now 46.9KB) using NavTweak. But the unit keeps freezing and rebooting itself constantly.

Gonna try v30 now and see if that fixes the problem, otherwise back to the version I know worked!

Can we push BMW for new vesion (v31 whatver) to make streets visible in perspective mode ?

Personally, I'd like them to fix the 'bug' whereby the name of small towns, villages and suburbs are no longer displayed in the RH window

Highly unlikely, as I understand it, the development of the nav operating system software has reached a stage where BMW is requesting bug fixes only from their supplier, no new features.

BMW are investing in the current iDrive systems, not the old ibus-based systems

Hi,

perhaps a stupid question:

I have a E46 (320d from Jan. 2005) with firmware 4/2-40 (means I have only the small screen).
Can I use also this update ?
How does the systems knows which language (in my case german) I want to use ?

Regards
kuzco

The system automatically recognizes the German language.
