I'd like to know why the CDC uses a completely different layout of the data for coronavirus as compared to the annual flu report and using shows a different format for the flu in January as opposed to today's webpage.

My understanding of the old being affected is that even they aren't at terribly high risk if they don't have underlying health problems.

The idea is somebody might splash the test solution on them. I have no idea where the germ was I just heard contaminated.

FYI the up the nose swap goes up 2-2-1/2". It's basically behind your eye and feels as good as it sounds.

The doc that did the swab felt bad until I told her thanks she finally got the itch that's been bugging me all day.

Those tests are crap!.

I had a male VA nurse, he had ZERO compassion for my reception to the test. Very forceful!

It was like having someone poking at your brain. You definitely need a skilled nurse to perform this procedure. Not one who is simply treating you as a number.

I have a bit more first hand evidence. On December 30, 2019, I received care from the VA medical center. While I was fighting the virus, I finally succumbed to the difficulties of breathing. When I arrived at the ER there was a sign posted, “due to sudden high volume”.

I was admitted and treated. I was given a albuterol breathing treatment, and I was placed on oxygen until my levels reached an acceptable level. And tested negative for flu. This took several hours.

While receiving treatment, I over heard the nurses discussions. Now this is second hand evidence, however I think it holds a bit of merit. They were discussing how there was a sudden surge of patients with similar symptoms and how they were testing negative for the flu. Also, every member of my family tested negative for flu as well.

This was in the States before it was reported. Somebody had to know. With 21 years of experience raising children, and all the years from the time I can recall, I’ve NEVER seen anything like it.

The main question I need answered is, were the aircrafts weaponized? No matter if the virus came from the market or the lab. Did somebody know when they were boarding flights to the U.S., or any other country for that matter that they were a risk? Was it done intentionally, or was it all circumstance? China is hush, WHO is already red flag, and our news or lack of has nothing to offer.

The need for an investigation is very serious. It’s hard to sleep at night after what I’ve gone through! Not knowing if it was a deliberate act or not is unsettling. If anyone is responsible, I want to know! I want justice for my family, if there is a responsible party. I know it will take years, but I don’t care.

This has been a life changing event, whether you had the virus or not, and probably will be for the foreseeable future.

Don’t we deserve answers?

Ah Andrew, I forgot to post this. You were mentioning wanting a heat map for cases and such to allow for planning and prep. Here is what San Antonio put together for Bexar County. We used to check it all the time when this first started but we stopped when we realized cases weren't going to really break 100 new/day. Looks like we are around 50 or 60 new cases on average. And for such a large metro area we only have 64 deaths currently. That was mostly a couple of nursing homes that were unfortunately ravaged because staff worked at both facilities. But I think this was along the lines of what you would like to see available for all locales?

What I've read from very knowledgeable doctors that treat the flu every year is this:

If the sars-cov-2 wasn't isolated we would have likely just thought all these people had the flu and it was just a terrible flu season. Double the deaths of normal and lasting until June.

I said in January if nothing else, people doing what they *are supposed to do* (wash hands cover face) will reduce how many people die from the flu we were on track to have 60-70,000 flu deaths this season. They got thrown in with cv by mid April so the world will never know how many were CV vs flu.

It's real sad that people try to find the worst and blame "our leaders" just because they were running the ship when the reality is as much as it's easy to use a time machine for a gotcha moment and blame the president because he said CV will kill people and then it will stop and it will be over and the world will resume. It's also just as easy to point out the time machine based lunacy of the house speaker encouraging mass gathering of Chinese immigrants by the 10s of 1000s on Chinese new years or the St Patrick's day parties in NYC thanks Mayor.

None of those qualify as other than human nature of American free spirit. If you want to believe one you better believe them all. None of these folks had a crystal ball and it was already far far far too late. There were 400-500,000 people that has been near Wuhan and now in the USA and had mingled with MILLIONS of Americans in EVERY state long before people started dying after being diagnosed.

If you have been getting "news" from legacy media, stop right now. Find some alternative source that doesn't make your skin crawl and find some actual news.

I use news 360 and down vote all the legacy non-news and it finds actual news articles from acutal journalists. Once the useless non news like and/CBS/fox/CNN/ABC/NYT/wapo etc are removed from the feeds, actual news will start to leak through. They tend to be from medium town newspapers like 100-200,000 population and apparently the journalists actually are unlike the absolute morons that are the national faces of the non news networks.

I don't care if you are the most liberal or most conservative person, watching non news biased to your favor is not remotely anything like news and should be put off the air from not watching it.

I used to watch a particular news-ish pundit not exactly news but news-ish because it was editorial in nature but you could tell they basically reported as it is because they used to piss off an equal number of liberals and conservatives each day. It was very humorous to see the comments section; flames from both sides.

That's a great way to tell if it's an honest reporter. They are so down the middle you can't tell if they are lib or cons and piss off each. A "yes man" like Lemon or Maddow are not anything close to news. Entertaining sure but absolutely pointless. They preech to the choir and teach nobody anything. May as well watch Wendy Williams or the view. Entertaining the groupies, chewing gum for the eyes. No substance whatsoever.

I spend about 2 hours a day on alternative news sites and YouTube channels and actually one or two of them are just compilation sites that mostly link to other sites. They basically proof 1000s of sites daily and filter out the actual news. Sometimes those articles are on legacy sites like New York times which always is a shocker but people well versed in filtering the absolute manure pre sift to find "just the facts" actual news no matter the source. Get informed stop just doing what other people tell you. I have very good friends from absolutely opposite ends of the political spectrum and I don't care who they support if it's suitable. What I see way way way too much is people voting like lemmings. Absolutely uninformed and making a choice buy a bumper sticker.

I wouldn’t trust Congress to mow my lawn. it should literally be disbanded 100% and start from scratch. It’s the 95% of them to give the rest the bad name. It's the most criminal organization outside of California.

Congress should be paid median wage. If a senator or Congress makes more money on their own they should have to pay it all to the general fund so while in Congress they are literally average. It would be all the incentive needed to keep the term limits low.

Only through criminal conduct can these people regularly take an already outrageous sum of a few million over time and turn it into fuck you money: $100s of millions and private Jets. It's literally criminal. If 30m Americans are on UI and food stamps: you guessed it Congress gets UI and food stamps until they fix it. Fuckers.

How about this one: Congress shall not get paid when they don't work, Congress shall not get paid until *all* the people waiting now over a month to get PUA get paid. There's no accountability whatever they need to feel the pinch of the absolute inability for them to make any progress. Sadly save a second revolution I see no cure.

It's famously said that democracy is doomed to fail and will fail when the people vote for whomever promises the biggest share of the public tax base.

Not sure how exactly I got into that tangent but the moral of the story is think for yourself since it's no longer taught in schools, teach your kids your family and your xo pals likewise and as the good book says help each other and lift each other up.

LoL... Mowing a lawn is actual work. Again, how were they getting paid, when the Coast Guard wasn’t? Men and Women that work hard to keep our country safe and secure.

That’s why I moved to Texas, from California. Beautiful land, but the government is something else.

I actually worry sometimes what their teaching my kids at school. Always be involved with your children, no matter the organization, church included. The only people that have a child’s best interests, is their parents. And even then, that can go wrong.

It would be nice to see people come together after this pandemic and be more helpful to one another, and to encourage one another.

Edit: Happy, yes I remember you said the virus was hard on your child. There are outliers in every statistic unfortunately. Was sad to hear your daughter was one of them. Glad she (and you) are doing better now.
