My point is you have used the word before. Our educational system teaches with that word. Natives to this land don’t like it. If you stopped using it, then you personally understood that it was offensive.

Guido in the same sense could be received as personally offensive to you. But it’s hard to tell when it’s used in TV shows, and restaurant names, etc. Same could be said when the police radio a suspect, “we have a BLACK male, red tee shirt...”. Why not African?

This is the society we live in. It’s been going on in North America for hundreds of years. Like Stephen said, “don’t get your panties in a bunch”.
In support of Upallnight--The origination doesn't matter. The continued use in any context doesn't matter. What matters is these labels signal racism to the vast majority of today's society. And, if one doesn't want to be seen as a racist they should reframe from using terms that are clearly seen as intentional demeaning, derogatory labels of others. Also, knowing Upallnight, he doesn't have his panties in a bunch. I suggest you read the definition of racism before you make another post that contributes to the view of others more informed and considerate than you are. I don't see anyone outraged. What I read is constructive criticism that should be a response to anyone that supports your views in hopes it will help them understand why they should question their opinion and hopefully come to a more considerate point of view.

Do you take me for a fool? If so, you are naive.

The whole Native American thing was about people using words that could potentially be offensive. Upallnight had stated he used the word indian before. When he found out it was offensive, he ceased to use it any longer.

He and you, are assuming overboost has deemed guido offensive. You do not know his state of mind, so therefore your argument is baseless. Guido is used today in many ways as I mentioned before.

Your suggestion to me about making further posts, due to my lack of, or being less informed than others is preposterous. You are basically calling me uneducated.

You still have not produced any first hand evidence that you have personally acquired regarding the pandemic. You post, after post, like you are extremely educated. But quite frankly, it’s all empty baseless nonsense. You have zero first hand information about what’s going on. Prove me wrong! Where is your evidence from your personal investigation? Flight itinerary’s, hotel stays, etc. What is going on at the highest level of government regarding this pandemic is, above you’re pay grade. Stay in your lane!

Do you remember your little pissing contest with another member of this forum. Maybe you need to read the definition of outrage. Also, while your at it, look up bigot as well.

I am a very considerate person. I just have a hard time with people full of complete nonsense. Nobody likes a know it all.

Oh the circus is in full steam. Peal clutching, mouths open, and spit drooling reporters are unhappy with TRUMP. Asking a load of a question to make yourself the center of a news cycle has been so overplayed, then don't forget follow it up with fake outrage. Gee, that is old news to everyone. Need to get a new story line as that one is worn out. Love how she pull down her mask for the cameras.

Election cycle histrionics, ignore the press and you will be much much happier in your life.

The idiot Gov of NY has his own crisis of leadership coming down with his handling of retirement/senior home Covid mandates. The forcing centers to accept back into facility residents who were being early released from hospitals with known Covid infection regardless of whether or not the facility had the means (staff, rooms, HVAC system, etc) to quarantine them properly. In fact those who refused we subject to arrest, violation reports and or closure by the State. Waiting on that investigation to happen in, one, two, three, xxx years.

Oh, the Gov, his brother and his Dad are IDIOTS. Political class like the Kennedy family, just one step out of the bottle.

This thread has turned into a place where people chime in on their own political and social view points.

Which is all well and good. There's a lot of discussions and people are engaged.

Let's use that energy to post something beneficial in this pandemic, shall we?

I propose that for every political comment you like to post, you add to it a valuable piece of information that you've either read somewhere (trustworthy source only please), or that you've personally experienced or witnessed. Or even a crack remedy you've overheard and think it might be worth a discussion (if only to have it shamefully debunked and dismissed). It could also be a financial/ economic news relating to our economy's current state as well.

I'll start:

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas...6-cc81bb635ae4

"How quickly can the U.S. economy rebound from the coronavirus shutdown?"

To be fair, it recovered for a bit before the mixture re-separated into it's two factions. Politicians love this.

As for the pandemic, not much else can be discussed that hasn't been covered. Hopefully Moderna can show results with larger trials and keep the positivity going.

Yeah Crystal, hopefully we can put all this behind us soon.

I am thinking of taking the cover off old girl. The sound and smell of a blown BMW will take my mind off of it all. It’s been about 2 months.

We can still talk about BMW’s here right? Don’t want to offend anybody.

If it pleases your highness, Happy, you can talk about anything that tickles your fancy. Just qualify it with a contribution for the virus discussion.
