also that price included tint for what its worth.

i mentioned this in the past, the key is the sales person, if he is willing to deal, then he will push for you even with their manager, if however they aren't willing to deal then its an uphill battle.
.dee, congratulations on the new car, enjoy. I want one badly too.

Guess if I didn't know your deal, would have signed up for the 115k deal. Good to have this info to avoid being ripped off though. Thanks.

Now I just wonder why it's so hard to find "the sales person". I will surrender with a 110k deal. Any dealer listening?

Where are you located? One of my friend is still working in BMW, he might help you to make the deal

some of my thoughts

Sale person is so much different from one to another.

Sometimes even he make fair profit on the deal, but he doesn't seem to happy nagotiate the price with buyer at all for some reason. maybe it's due to large demand and the dealer doesn't care. Same case happened to me when I bought my X in early 2008. I visited some dealers and ringed up the rest through out victoria. None of them was happy to negotiate the price and even one of them said, you can buy ML or Q7 with a large discount. what a shame!

Another option, if you can, is to wait for runout sale of 2010 builds - dealers will be easier to talk to then because they will have factory support and sales incentives to move the superceded model. The only problem may be finding the exact vehicle you want since choice would probably be very limited.

or even better ... save the money you would have spent on repayments between now and June and put towards the 2011 40d or even 35i ..ask for a slightly lower balloon (as the 40d will hold up well for years, and better than 35d which will be psychologically inferior residual as the 'old model' . there will probably be a coffee a day in price between monthly payments once you do all that ..just food for thought ...its what I'd be doing if I had the choice ...

Great initiative for an Australian link. Now driving my second X5. First was 4.4 model and was a really good ride for 4 years. Last May upgraded to new black X5 sports diesel (twin turbo) and while I miss the rumble of the V8 cannot question the power and lower fuel costs of diesel. Had the iPod USB installed on purchase. Highly recommend as gives you all the data up on the screen so easy to manage album/song selection.
For those about to take delivery enjoy. You will be in a first rate vehicle!

This iPod "y" cable... does it plug into the USB slot? We should be taking delivery next week some time, and want to make sure we get one.

It plugs into both the USB and AUX slots, which are in the centre console/armrest, hence the "Y". In case you didn't already know, you only get the USB slot in armrest if your car has the 6FL usb/audio interface option.

If in addition to 6FL you also have the 6NF extended music connectivity/smart phone integration option, then instead of the "Y" cable, you could get the iPhone snap-in adapter, which also goes in the armrest - the base plate takes up half the space so you can't miss it. While the iPhone is docked into this cradle it is charging, connected to car antenna for better reception, and enables iPhone music play.
