Which radio? The screen resolution effects the font size. Its large on mine but someone else had a radio that was a good bit smaller.

In my GA6166 install, I used the Blue "ant" wire to power on my aftermarket subwoofer amp that is connected to a DSP subwoofer. The DSP subwoofer was purchased on eBay and retrofitted to be driven by the aftermarket amp.

I was looking for ease of installation and the factory fitting DSP sub fit the bill for me perfectly on that score and is enough of a low end bump to make me happy.

The positive power wire aka the wire that powers the camera is run off the switch power wire from the radio.

The power antenna wire and the amp power wire booth put out +12 volts when the radio is turned on.

My camera has +12 volt and ground and an rca video cable for wires.

So the +12 volt (red wire) from the camera hooks to the blue antenna wire.

Ground goes to ground where ever is convenient.

The rca cable plugs into the backup camera rca input from the radio.

mine is definitely smaller font, like the right hand side of of the screen is all black with no writing.

Is there a setting in the menu somewhere to change font size?

Not that I know. Its 36 outside and Im having dental issues at the moment and that much cold is a bit to painful for me to be outside right now or I would go check. Sorry.

Crowz, can you link which backup cam you uses ?
I bought the “seicane bmw perfect fit” and like you say, it doesn’t fit in anyway. So got to go with an other type.

The one you bought fits directly to the seicane harness i the trunk right ?
The red and yellow rca cable, 12v+ and a ground is all it needs to work ?
