Hi Guys
For everyones information, I have contacted Eurotech-lcd.com and received the following reply. "Thanks for your inquiry on our company website www.eurotech-lcd.com, it shows that you are in need of Sharp LCD LQ065T9BR51 , we can provide them for you, original newA grade, the price is $188/piece, we can accept paypal payment, it is easy and safe for you to purchase. By our selling record, LQ065T5BR51/52/53/54/55 are 100% compatible." I still can't find datasheets on these to verify full compatibility, and I'm a bit doubtful after it was claimed on this post that the LQ065T9BR53 had unacceptable viewing angle. I have no idea what the difference is between T9 variant and the T5 variant. This just seems to add another level of complexity to the selection. (or is it just a typographical error) I think I will stick to the OEM part LQ065T9BR51. At least we now have a supplier and a safe way to purchase (Paypal) |

I just purchased a working NAV unit out of an M5 from eBay for $400. Of course, I found this thread afterwards!
![]() Upon swapping out the monitors, I saw my 2001 530i had monitor part number: LQ065T9BR53..........2808935 D Now I know in the past that my NAV unit had been replaced once due to dead pixels under warranty. The unit from eBay was LQ065T9BR52U. It seems to work just fine in my 2001 530i although the screen is scratched a bit more than I would like, at least all the pixels work. I'm thinking to purchase two new monitors, replace my 'M5' one, redo the NAV unit I got with a brand new one, and see if I can sell it and break even or perhaps minimize my loss. I'll then be left with the M5 monitor as a back-up. Great thread and nice job by everyone figuring this stuff out. |

Yes, both E53 and E70 can be sourced. However, it usually comes at the same price as a scrapyard used display unit, considering you don't have to pull the LCD panel for the transplant.
Just curious, did it fail on your E70? iDrive LCDs seemed tougher. |
