can't wait too ... go wire it up man!

As long as your external fits perfectly then there is nothing to worry about. I used 1.8cm for the sides and 0.8 for the face and back.

Question about powering the amp.

I see a blue/white box to the top left of the spare tire. Is that where we need to power our amp from? How do you open that box?

I do not see a green box. My X is a 2004 model.

Thanks

If you see a large red wire going inside the box from the left side then pobably this is the same box with a different colour. You open it by popping the white cover towards you. You should find some empty slots there waiting for you.

You can still wire directly to the battery but this will involve a lot of work (taking the spare out and removing the air suspension pump)

I just finished installing the sub and amp. It sounds awesome.

I have an aftermarket NAV system (Pioneer AVIC-F90BT). So i am using the Sub RCA Pre-outs coming from the head unit. There are a lot of controls in the head unit to control the output to the sub.

It sounds pretty decent with the current settings. But, I think it needs some tweaking on the audio side.

Here are some more tips for future modders.

1. Blue/white box in the top left corner of spare tire is the power distribution block (2004+). You do not have to remove the spare tire , but removing is will make it lot easier to work with.
2. You need to aquire a 5mm nut to fasten the positive cable to the power block.

There will be a lot of parameters to play with at the headunit and on the amp ... take your time, reaching the optimum performance can take weeks of listening.

Please post pics of the whole setup

Now i tweaked the outputs a little (Enabled high pass filter for all the speakers to filter out low freq and set the low pass freq for the sub)

It sounds even better. I will try to get some pcitures tomorrow during whatever little daylight we get here in cleveland.
