This is most likely a stupid question but do you get Album Art displayed with BMW's with Nav?

Not an option with the DICE, the iPod does not permit that info to be extracted while unlocked. We did have a kit in beta that allowed for this, but the interface was very slow and crashed frequently.

Ah, to bad but at least it "could" be possiable. If any further work is done with this, I would really like to know. This might just push me over to one of these devices.

Announcement: New Radio-specific kits announced today: http://www.xoutpost.com/vendor-forum/...now-stock.html

This is great news for even easier installations or non-CD Changer prewired vehicles.

Another newbie with a Dice problem

Tom, I purchased a Dice unit for my 2001 X5 (no nav with DSP) and my first unit was DOA and I just installed the second one and everything seems to work ok except I only get sound from the right channel. I have read a couple posts elsewhere and it seems like some have just replaced the unit and all was fine. Is there some defective units out there that have this problem or could it be something else.

Thanks in advance..

First make sure none of the pins in the connector are cut or pushed out. If not, you have a module that needs to be replaced.

Contact me directly at [email protected] and we'll get you taken care of.

If your referring to the connector that looks like a PS2 or S-video type connector on one end and the Ipod connector on the other I checked that and even tried another (I have 2 now) and I still have sound only from the right channel. I verified it was not with the converter for the DSP by moving the RCA plug from the right channel to the left and I got sound from the left channel. I will see if the shop that I bought it from locally has another to exchange it with otherwise I will send you an email.

Thanks for all your help.

I'm referring to the black 12-pin molex going into the DICE module, which is part of the trunk harness.

Ok, I will check that out.. I'll get back to you shortly. Thanks

No problem, if your specific installer has any problems, feel free to have him contact me directly.
