Well, to add to the drama, Charlotte has now issued a stay at home order effective Thursday 8:00 AM. We are now essentially on lock down for 3 weeks. My wife works at Target so we already have our papers issued to her by Target Corp. identifying her as essential personnel.

Never in my life would I have ever thought I would need movement authorization papers to present to LE.

Starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, the 1.1 million residents of Mecklenburg County largely must stay in their homes except for going to grocery and drug stores, making medical appointments and exercising. People can still get restaurant to-go food and deliveries, in keeping with statewide restrictions already in place.

Those whose work is deemed essential in the order can continue to travel to and from their jobs. Violating the order can be a misdemeanor.

A little over reaction from the County and City officials. Can't wait to see that tested in the courts.

Yep, Houston goes on lock down tonight at midnight. Now we can’t just go shopping at the grocery store, it has to be one by one.

Sheesh.. I am trying not to get worn out with this.

How do you mean one by one. There is a line outside and they meter you in? Seems like the stores would be better off doing "shop at home".

“Shop at home”. Right!

You would think we could use our smart devices, place an order, pick up and be done.

Yes they are metering. I don’t even know how to face this challenge.

We have shop at home here in New Jersey. I don't know if any shops use the service near you, it's called "instacart" (instacart.com)

You should have a Target near you. It is pretty easy with their app.

Stay safe all. We are still very much on the upswing (beginning no less) of the curve. There is no good solution possible by government. All solutions or plans are going to hurt either the population or the economy.

I keep trying to convince my parents to stay the hell home and I'll deliver stuff to them because they aren't diligent about distancing and sanitizing. I'm sure we are all wrestling with different dilemmas. I know I'm much more sensitive and short lately, much to the dismay of my kids. Normally I play with them a lot and of course now I am my daughter's formal teacher so things are changing for them in ways that make me question myself from time to time.

Sorry for rambling but we all need to be aware we're in this together regardless of political, religious, or other beliefs. Again, stay safe and protect your loved ones.

Well said brother.

Novel Coronavirus has no religious or political affiliation. It will affect us all and we are all at risk.

We need to keep our forum family together.
