Just remember that those people are there because they work for POTUS and even in everyday life you would wait for the boss to make his statement and not start before them. It was this way under Obama, Bush, Clinton. Everyone has their own opinion on what is said, done or implied but it should make everyone pause and wonder if they're upset more along party lines when upset over the exact same format that has been done for all the previous administrations regardless of party.

There are plenty of things to be unhappy about but we all should make sure it's substantive and not a perception that we make into a reality.

This virus is no joke. A friend I went to HS with and his other half both have it. My friend has been at hospital since Wednesday last week and is finally well enough to be off of oxygen as of yesterday afternoon. I worry being so close to NYC and there are 26 cases in my county.

So to follow up on my earlier post..

I’ve seen people on this board give condolences because someone’s significant other was in a fender bender, but I come on here posting that I nearly lost family members to this virus and no one even bats an eye.

No sorry to hear that, or I hope your family recovers. And then everyone wonders why our country has gone to shit!

No one on this board has any REAL sympathy, because if you did there would have been replies, even if you don’t like me.

That’s why we’re in the situation we’re in. Because nobody give a shit anymore.

But, for me.. I pray to Jesus all of you here on this board and your families, friends, or whoever is important to you be healed in the name of Jesus.

I don’t care if y’all don’t like me. It’s not going to stop me from praying for y’all while we’re going though this VERY hard time.

Happy , I feel you brother. I am reading this thread every 15 minutes. It has turned form a PSA for our forum regarding the Covid-19 virus to a bunch of democratic members back slapping each other on how bad Donald Trump is as a leader and how he is handling the Covid-19 virus. Sad, so sad.

I consider these members friends, we all share a common interest in the E53, but to read their posts it is just division of our forum and division of our country.

I have stayed silent just to keep politics out of this thread but I have sympathy for what you have endured, I am trembling with fear for my own family and trembling with fear for the outcome of others like your daughter and father.

This pandemic is becoming real, much larger than the partisan political views of the previous posts in this thread.

Of course we hope your family gets better, you didn't make clear their status in the original post. I don't know you from Adam and don't know if you want me to ask how they're doing or any other details of their cases. I think one of my first posts in this thread (or another) was that I hope everyone from the Outpost fam (and their relations/friends) stays safe and dodges this thing. The longer it has gone on the clearer that that hope is not going to be realized. It's going to touch EVERYONE. How about you cut people some slack, it hasn't even been 24 hours since your post yet I have recounted it to friends and family at least 3 times and stated I was happy to hear that your father and daughter did not succumb to the virus. Sh*t everyone wants validation and to hear how sorry everyone feels now a days. You ever think maybe no one acknowledged it because it was scary and hits that much closer to home? And thank you for your thoughts and prayers even though I am atheist/agnostic. I appreciate what prayers mean to those with faith (I was raised Catholic).

As to the politics aspect. It's hard to separate the current crisis from the politics. The 2 parties have been at war for awhile now and we are finally in a position where real damage is being done to everyone because of it. Hell the gov't was shutting down once or twice a year for the last few years. Disgusting. I am an independent and most Republicans and Democrats in office are 2 opposing sides of the same coin. They share the same flaws. I'll make fun of Schumer and Pelosi if it makes everyone feel better.

You addressed it specifically to everyone on the board. I don't judge you or begrudge you anything for your theological beliefs. If those beliefs help you to be a better person to your fellow man. I'm all for it.

And again, I am happy to hear that your family members recovered. And I agree with you this crisis highlights how selfish and apathetic people have become towards one another. If there is a silver lining maybe it's that they were afflicted relatively early while hospital capacities and capabilities are still able to cope. I worry many thousands, perhaps tens of thousands, will not be able to receive adequate care sooner rather than later.
