Thanks for your reply Trapdoor, I read in a earlier post of yours last May that you were running a Version 26 (3D hacked). Are you still running it and did it indeed give you 3D perspective and town info in split screen
display.

Don't think so, because the nav checks that the OS software is correct for the vehicle. The BMW v29 is for BMW New Mini and BMWs. The Range Rover nav unit will reject the CD,

Anyone noticed that 2007.2 North America DVD has different root directory structure than that of 2007.1 NA DVD?

So, as an example, if I was unfamiliar with the area I would look at the nav and see I was in HIGH STREET, BIGTOWN, whereas I should be seeing HIGH STREET, TINYTOWN - because my village is in the close geographic neigborhood of BIGTOWN that is what is shown, but I'm NOT there, I'm in TINYTOWN. BMW have admitted it's a bug. But no idea when it will be fixed. Perhaps if more Nav users complained to their dealers a fix would be out sooner rather than later or never, as I assume at some point BMW are going to announce 'end of life' for the Mk4 navi like they did for the Mks 1 to 3 and stop providing updates. |
