Download http://www.xoutpost.com/nav/Nav_KeyCD.zip and use CloneCD to burn the disk. Once the disk is made, stick it in the nav drive and it will complete your installation.

Hi Guys,

I'm pretty new to the BMW Sat Nav is there a different update for UK models?

I've got V29 so I can update my MKIII to 63 but don't want to get it wrong.

Cheers

MD

Hi,

i am new here and downloaded the image of the v29,1. Now my question. As i am from Germany ist the Language after the Update still German(The Navvoice and the OStext). Or is it automtically switched to English?
I have a 2004 330ci with an MK4 Satnav.

Thanks for your help

Greetings from Germany!

Welcome to the forum,

No, your Language will stay the same (German), as this is coded via the Navigation unit.

Upgrade complete, differences noted

Bumped up the X5 (first - as it's under warranty) then M3 this weekend to V29.1
All went well with the upgrade, although I find the momentarily black screen off-putting at the start.
Taking the M3 to Goodwood's Festival of Speed yesterday I can vouch for improvements already seen while using the car on roads I'm familiar with over 250 miles:
1) Routing algorithms are better. The previous version - 27 - used to suggest really nonsensical routes, especially with the tendency to use motorways where 'A' roads would be better.
2) Speed of map rendering is improved.
3) Re-routing seems to take longer but the results are more intelligent when they arrive. Worth the trade-off.
Will post any more stuff I see after using the X5 tomorrow for a well-trodden journey.

(Incidentally - used Alcohol 120% latest version; burnt at "Maximum" speed with Burn Proof Pioneer DVD Writer on Verbatim 52X CD-R)

I do not recall if it was this thread or not, but some people had expressed a problem with properly displyaing towns/cities when using the split screen function. Just wanted to say I'm using v29.1 and do not have this problem. I have been meaning to check it out for some time now, but have not been in unfamiliar territory. In fact it worked very well. I was on a road where it was considred "Memphis," came upon a sign saying "Bartlett City Limits" and less than 200 ft after that sign the city name changed from Memphis to Bartlett...

Or was it some other issue?
