Nothing. They look great. Now find me 4.8is badges and DINAN badges that match the finish. :D

Yeah, I imagine cleaning would be much easier. But I like the little bit of black contrast the badges provide, and of course the "DINAN" badge holds a little specialness to it so don't want to lose that.

I have to say I like the black much better than the chrome. I wouldn't Delete a black logo of I bought a car that way

My bad: I heard the death-rattle from the alternator bearings, but drove home anyway Sunday night. Heading up the ATL Downtown connector, I thought I'd hit some road trash when the alternator light illuminated and the coolant temp gauge spiked. Fortunately, close enough to drop it off at a nearby indy shop. The freezing alt. had blown out belts, pulleys, and took half the fan blades! It did give me the opportunity to install the replacement Bosch alternator I bought in September 2017(!) when I first heard the alternator rattle [but it didn't fail]. Now 215k miles on my X5 bought with 81k miles on it in October 2013. I've driven it way more than I expected .....

Ouch. Sounds like she just wanted some attention a couple of days before her birthday. She's a teenager now! :D

I went with anthracite gray using plasti-dip about 3-4 years ago because it is a very close match to the wheel well trim. Did the same on wheels and 4.6is badge. Always use a carwash, still looks like the day I did it.

That does look good. Yep, the plasti dip seems to hold up very well. My front grille has had no damage since being done and it is on the front of the truck taking all kinds of abuse from San Antonio construction.

Plastic dip badge great idea.

Plowed to the curb. City did a shitty job didn't get within two feet of the curb that will block all the water once the snow & ice starts melting.

I typically will drive tire against the curb to pick down the snow then go through with a flat square shovel to dig out the packed snow right at the curb to make a channel for the snow melt to drain.

If there is ice I use my pressure washer hooked up to hot water to cut through the ice like hot knife through butter.

If I catch it after the snow starts to melt I'll show a pic how that ends up.

Jeepers Andrew - that looks JUST like the street I used to live on in Milwaukee... I guess Racine streets/houses look the same. ;)

I'm sure a lot of the same builders worked in both places. Many of the houses are the same floor plan (or mirror image)
