Yeah I am running a focal amp and there is no noise that I can detect in terms of interference.

thanks RB. looking forward to hearing your audio quality reviews. Nice looking work!!!

PS: you have not changed out any other speakers yet right, just experimenting with different dash mid range speakers?
this will be a great way to test the "upgraded" dash speakers only and not get them blended with the JL C-2600's which are already known for better quality sound.

^^Correct Mike I have been taking my sweet time just doing the dash speakers for now - and exactly why I did it - I wanted to see how upgrading the sound of the mids only would work - the JL C2-600 components for front and rear doors (and I'll sell the extra set of tweeters) will be installed at a later date -

I am also going to use this same driver in the rear door midrange as well, as it should also be simply adapted into the OE housing back there - the rear mids have a similar plastic frame, just basically missing the clip for the capacitor on the dash driver, and without the mounting "ears" - but the speakers themselves are identical in the dash and rear doors from the factory -

Have you confirmed the capacitor is there in the rears? I couldn't remember.

RB since the old OE dash speakers had capacitors on them won't you have to install a set on the new speakers to prevent the wrong frequencies from making it to the speaker? If to many lows go the the speaker then it may fry it? Please advise us

Jay - I am going to be reusing the OE wiring harness (which has capacitor intact, Prop's pics are on page 3) - the pics I posted were before I un-soldered the wiring that I transferred to the Memphis speakers which will now go on these - so yes I wouldn't run these just plugged in, if the capacitor was on OE wiring I would make sure it is same on the replacements.

Prop, I didn't verify if there is one on the rear door mids yet but will when I get to those doors - was hoping Jay had gotten his Vifa mids installed in the rear to tell us how that went
