Rear Entertainment System by Invision

Hello fellow Australians

Just had a great chat with Lawrence from Invision in the USA. Love the look of their DVD rear entertainment set up as compared to current Australian BMW offering. Who on the forum has purchased this setup?

How did you find it and what was the reaction when you took your car into the dealership.

Mine is telling me it will void my car warranty totally

Seems a bit exstream given it is only an entertainment system

Where is your dealer situated?

Sound like he's full of BS!

My dealer actually fitted mine for me. I pointed out that the dealers were fitting them overseas and they said they were more than happy to have a go...... they stuffed it up though as it was their first and Lawrence was most helpful in sorting out the problems (they didn't allow enough slack for the cables to remain attached when the seat is moved)

WE have nothing but praise for it, especially on long trips. My wife took her sister, mother and my son up to the country to see other family members for the weekend. My son watched his movie, sister watched a girly movie and my wife and mother nattered all the way. They thought it was great!!

Cheers

J

Second that! What a load of crap!

I wanted to change my standard 18s to 20s on non run flats and asked whether that would void warranty. His reply was ''if the warranty issue in question is not as a direct result of the non oem item, then no''. Which is the logical and fair answer you would expect.

I installed aftermarket HID on my e46 and later had electrical problems - which were not related, no fuss was made by the dealer.

A little birdie told me that by the end of the year or early next year the Hybrid X5 is coming. 4 cylinder diesel twin turbo with a electric motor in the transmission putting out about the same nm as the old E53 3.0d (530nm) with under 7ltr per 100klm fuel consumtion. Also the roof will have solar panels producting over 1 kilowatt power output!

That will be my next X5 after the M-Sport I have just ordered!

Ok, my April 09 production X5 35d M-Sport has just been built and just arrived at the docks in Savannah awaiting to be loaded on the ship to Brisbane, arrival date the 19th May 09.

Cannot complain, the dealer has been giving me loan demo cars since Jan 09, driven just about everything except a 7 series, this week back into a demo X5 3.0d.

You are going to invite us all to the handing over party at Motorline aren't you.

The guys at Motorline certainly know how to look after their customers, providing loan vehicles since January sounds like your on a winner.

Bozz.
