You have been patient, this is not acceptable. BMW can keep the car for as long as they want and get you a new one. That should be the only solution , period.

Those are my feeling exactly. I am hoping to hear good news tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

You need to get tough with them, does it meet the lemon criteria, I would have thought one of these would apply?

(A) Substantially the same nonconformity has been subject to repair three or more times and either continues to exist or recurs.

(B) The vehicle is out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of thirty or more calendar days;

Played phone tag with BMWNA today. Apparently request has been forwarded to regional management team for a replacement vehicle. They have yet to respond. I called back, got voicemail again, and reiterated that a replacement vehicle was the only solution for me at this point.

We shall see. Hopefully something tomorrow.

They began driving my car today.

Thumbs down

it's not the only "test vehicle" this is nuts compared to my story

their test drive =

On the downside, I am afraid if I insist on getting it back before they test it, it will ultimately effect my ability to get a replacement, which at this point, is the only acceptable solution.

I am not going to accept this vehicle back. Plain and simple. I have discussed this with customer relations on Monday. I am going to call him back tomorrow (I have his direct extension) and escalate it. I think that putting 1200+ miles on my vehicle is kind of past the limit.

If BMW do not replace this vehicle, I will be moving to Porsche and will never be back. I have had 4 new BMWs in 5 years. I think I have been very loyal to the brand, and have always spoken highly of BMW to my friends, but I am only willing to accept so much.

So, today came and went with no reply from BMWNA or the dealer. Guess my car is on the road... Somewhere...

Half way through the day and still no word. I guess they like driving my vehicle.

So, car just got redelivered. Put 600 miles on it. No engine fault as of yet. BMWNA still has not made a decision on my replacement. I reiterated my expectation that I get a replacement. We shall see.

Absolutely ridiculous. Keep in mind the buyback process can take some time but just becasue the car has been returned seemingly fixed, does not mean that that avenue is not available to you anymmore. Good luck..
