No, I believe the virus will or has infected mankind.

I have been ill for months now. I have had numerous symptoms that this virus produces. I’ve had good days, and some tough ones. I feel like my health is trending upward though. Healing for me from this virus has been a slow and long process.

Well, some people are so far apart there's really no hope of finding common ground. Is what it is. As you said, we're just humans... imperfections and all.

There was a United States before this outbreak, there will be one afterwards. There was one before Trump, there will be one afterwards.

I think we should work together to compile multiple solutions to fit the multitude. Every human circumstance is going to be different. A one size fits all will fail every time. All your little ol' me is jus here to calm things down and guide us to being a unit with respect for each other's beliefs and is completely transparent. It's easy to read between the lines. They're just snide remarks, cheap shots. I have always been aware that any response to your goal to degrade someone is a gift full of snide opportunities for you to do your thing. You're never going to get along with me unless you change your exchanges with me and don't resort to insults when I have been responding without doing so.

It doesn't matter how you cut it other than I have found an excuse that I will view as a reason to do what I want and I am OK with some unknown number of virus victims dying that could be millions.

That is just not the kind of country we were. When others take action contrary to the bill of rights it is a tiny stick of kindling to light a fire on the fabric of our country.

With all the personal freedom to do what I choose is right for me, and not imposing my choice on anyone else, why can I not keep a nuclear bomb at my ranch? How would that affect any of you? I promise not to use it, but still, the stupid repressive government prohibits me from owning it and keeping it on my own property. What a shameful incursion and attack on my personal rights. Repressive dictatorship going on that’s for sure.

I believe that method of argument is called reductio ad absurdum. Rarely a good way of supporting one's position as it ignores nuance and subtlety.

We can't begrudge people for needing to make a living. Are some people going to act irresponsibly, yep, sure, always going to happen. But the majority of Americans can not afford to stay in a complete lock down.

Did EODguy? I went back up and a page back. It certainly applies to everyone on both sides of the debate. If I missed it, it should also be pointed out.

Edit: oh zonefive with the sports? Yeah, that could be absurdum, though I would say less egregious than nuclear arms. And he did pose a course of action for those interested in self quarantining. It will remain the best way of mitigating the personal risk of catching the virus. But again, that is not a viable option for the majority of Americans.

I moved on to a new business model to make ends meet and feed the babies. Although it seems I am again not allowed to cook up a bit of cocaine to sell to willing buyers. It's a stupid silly consensual transaction between a free manufacturer and a free buyer.

It's a flagrant violation of my right to do business and feed my kids.

They can wash their crack and sell it again, although they do seem to be up against some stiff competition.
