Will there be much difference between v13 and v22 for the MKIII? If so, what would it be?

Hi Folks,
I'm new to the forum! I just 05 M3 and I was thinking of upgrading the Nav to 2007.02...All I know is this Navigation System is DVD based(its got the DVD in the trunk!). So How should I go about upgrade? Is it just the matter of getting right DVD and intert it into it and after sometime I will be done OR I'm looking at some complicated steps..!! Looked at www.navteq.com and the DVD is priced around USD 199! Is there anyone who might be interested in selling 2007.02 version for North America..?? I live in California. Thanks a lot, Jay |

Your car uses: High DVD iDrive uses: Professional DVD The best retail price I know is $175 from Tischer. See: http://www.mileoneparts.com/partloca...egoryID=103121 I have a 2005 M3 also, I upgraded the Nav software to the newest version; see this link: http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all-...ystem-faq.html Read this article as it explains that there are 2 components to the Nav system; the actual Nav software and the maps. The maps are on a DVD and you can update the maps by inserting a newer Map DVD (such as 2007.2). The Nav sofware (which reads the maps, displays the info on the screen and does all the calculations) is burned into the Nav computer and can be upgraded with a special upgrade CD. Upgrading on your own can hose your Nav computer, but if you get a copy of the Nav software and burn the CD correctly and follow the diretions that are posted on the web, it is not a difficult process. I did it myself, but the dealer may do it for free (probably only if you request it) as the car is under warranty. The newer Nav software has a much nicer map drawing routine (among other things) than the version that came in my '05 M3. |

Hi, I' writing from Italy and have a BMW 330xd (E46 year 2004) with a DVD navigation system and high europe map 2 2005. I've just succesfully upgraded the gps software version to V29.1 (my previous version was V25); everything seems ok but I'm not able to set and see the 3D map perspective mode (that shoulg be seen with any map disk 2004 and up).
Is there anybody who can help me please? |

2007.1 Map update - Downloaded... How to Make DVD?
Thanks in adanace for any help on this! I have downloaded 11 files in a bittorrent and now have them in .rar format. I can decompress them but they are all (except for one file) the same name so I can not dump them into the same folder.
Am I on the right track to decompress them into their own separate folders and use a program like image burn to create the proper iso out of the entire set of directores? Pease advise. Thanks!
