Trump is good for the economy. Look at that. She sold 950,000 copies on day 1.
Ya see. Nearly a million people chose to part with their money just to have a paper with his name on it. And he didn’t do anything, other than golf on that day.
Some people are just weird. Born weird.

A psychopath and a narcissist are similar. The primary difference is that narcissists overvalue themselves at the expense of others and like their acts to be visible to the public.

There are different types of narcissists. Trump fits the profile of a malignant narcissist, the worst type of narcissist. They have most of the traits of other types of narcissists but they also degrade others in almost any way they can because they enjoy doing so.

A major part of the problem is those that are only thinking of themselves. Those are the ones that aren't wearing masks in public. Those are the ones that aren't maintaining social distancing or not washing their hands. It's those that contend it violates their rights or are saying nobody is going to tell me what to do or those that won't wear a mask because of politics.

It's very clear how to control the virus. Where they have followed the recommendations the infection rate has dropped and stayed low. Those that don't know what we have to do to control the virus just aren't paying attention. New York has been very successful. They didn't do anything other than follow the CDC guidelines.

As far as the those that aren't wearing masks, the only possible solution is for the Federal government to mandate masks nationwide and establish a penalty stiff enough to get their attention. That's what is happening in other countries that are controlling the virus. At this point the Fed should be saying we will have to close the country down as the only alternative if we don't wear masks in public, maintain social distancing, wash our hands, reframe from pubic gathering etc. We will make that decision in 14 days based on the behavior of US citizens.

“Stinging Obituary Blames Trump For Texas Man’s 'Needless' Death From Coronavirus

“Shame on all of you," read the obituary for David Nagy in the Jefferson Jimplecute newspaper.

The newspaper obituary for David Nagy of Jefferson, Texas, makes it crystal clear who his family blames for his “needless” death from the coronavirus.

President Donald Trump, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and other politicians who failed to take the pandemic seriously are responsible for the 79-year-old’s July 22 death, the family wrote in the obituary published by the Jefferson Jimplecute in East Texas on Thursday.

Also at fault were the “many ignorant, self-centered and selfish people who refused to follow the advice of the medical professionals, believing their ‘right’ not to wear a mask was more important than killing innocent people,” the obituary said.

Nagy contracted COVID-19 in a convalescent hospital, where he’d been recovering from illness, his wife of 20 years Stacey Nagy*told Snopes, the fact-checking website.*

He died alone, unable to receive visitors, after suffering “greatly from the ravages of the COVID-19 virus,” the family said in the obituary.

“Dave did everything he was supposed to do, but you did not,” the obituary concluded. “Shame on all of you, and may Karma find you all!”

“I miss my husband dearly,” Stacey Nagy told Snopes. “I’m taking one day at a time to just try to keep going.”
“When I wrote that thing it was because of him,” she said. “I don’t want his death just to disappear. I wrote that and partially, it keeps him alive for me.”“

??? While it sucks to lose someone, and I feel for her. It sounds as if she is lashing out in her husband's obit. @ 79yo he was vulnerable and in a hospital, already ill. Here is more info from her:

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/david-nagy-obituary/

As an aside, I have a buddy from Longview who lost his mother last year, I wonder if she passed in that same facility.

I am disappointed in the Huffpo (and others) for turning the woman's grief into added political fodder. They are one of the many offenders in the "us vs them" struggle going on.

I agree with her accusations she posed regarding Abbott. He should be voted out next term as well as senator Cornyn.

So here we are still killing about a thousand people a day due to not being able to get the nation to do the simple things of wearing a mask, social distancing, avoiding crowds and washing hands frequently. Trump, his administration, most republicans in house and senate and his followers downplaying the importance of what citizens should do to get COVID 19 under control.

I can't find the words to express how terrible the foolhardy, callas, lack of empathy, divisive politicalization, ignorance, stupidity and defiance surrounding the pandemic is.

We are killing around 1000 people a day and shortly after Labor Day we will have more spikes and likely run the daily death toll higher. Now there is pressure on the CDC to pull back on recommendations and some saying the death toll is vastly inflated. And here comes flu season and children going back to school. I am so ashamed of the lack of appropriate action of this nation. We are working diligently to give all that COVID 19 needs to maximize the rate of infection and deaths.

A vaccine is not going to be the panacea. It will take years to get enough people vaccinated to make a significant difference. And that assumes enough citizens will agree to be vaccinated. Then there is the issue of whether or not the vaccine can keep up with the virus mutations.

I am confounded that so many people can condone their behavior, have their head so far up their A#$. So many that think not wearing a mask is a demonstration of support for their political party, a badge of courage or a display of personal defiance.

There are those that say this is not who we are as a nation. It feels like that was who we were. I hate the thought but I don't think we have hit the bottom of what we are becoming.
