I don't think they'll go for some coat of arms/family crest that has such a narrow use.

But I do agree we need something to reduce voter fraud. Maybe something like Mexico uses?

That works if the voting is in person.

We need an additional form of verification on our voting documents to avoid tempering.

I know that but say for example a seal is used. Unless the Government has a registered copy of it then any seal on the paperwork would pass inspection and not to mention that a seal would probably be a "family" stamp/seal so a husband, wife, sons and unmarried daughters would have the same one meaning multiple papers with the same stamp until the kids start their own families.
I'm not sure how to get around the possible problems listed above, but it's a thought

The machines being removed (as shown by that reporter's Twitter, FB and shown on Capitol Hill) are flat sorters aka those used for magazines and similar thin but heavy items. Since the USPS has said they have delivered 8%-12% less magazines per year for more than 5 years those machines sat idle and innsome locations used 70% of the floorspace. So in those areas they would have had to build new buildings to add floorspace for new style package sorting equipment (think Amazon size boxes) because USPS has flat rate standard sized boxes and anything outside that range needs a different machine.

There you go then. Why pause the refit then? Just the optics I suppose? MSM sucks. Guess it draws more ire to say, "mail sorting machines removed and destroyed" than to say "magazine sorting machines removed due to lack of need because... Blah blah facts/statistics" I missed the fact checking on that one, thanks for the info.

I found the post for the video and it's truly sad that this "reporter" didn't say what kind of sorter it was and was corrected by someone else. Although I guess I shouldn't be surprised since this was the same station that had a constant update on their sick reporter for two weeks only to have him not have covid19.

I'll try to find a like to the magazine sorter that was posted in response as it had a catalog add of the machine.

It's expected that Congress would vote on either of the candidates not just vote on whomever, but to be fair the fact that we're talking about politicians means they could "interpret" Article II in some BS way and say "We choose Snuffy Smith" and ignore all or any nominees.

As for the VP the Senate chooses

If that happens it would certainly go before the Supreme Court unless the People execute them for being a domestic enemy of the Constitution.

If the Supreme Court gets involved, the status of Ginsburg could very well be a deciding factor.

You would think that maybe what would be the deciding factor in the scenario I wrote would be that NO ONE would believe it's ok for Congress to choose someone who is not one of the two candidates.....

I'm a Constitutionalist so I look at anything that violates the Constitution as instantly wrong legally and morally. Of course in that particular case there's only one remedy listed in the Constitution....

"The White House abruptly ordered the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to stop recommending coronavirus tests for many people exposed to covid-19 infections, alarming health experts.

The CDC used to advise a test for anyone who had been within six feet of an infected person for 15 minutest or more, but now writes on its website "you do not necessarily need a test" unless you show symptons.

Experts fear the change will lead to more infections because symptomless carriers can still spread the disease, and without tests those outbreaks could spread undetected."

Above excerpt is taken from The Washington Post's daily Coronavirus Updates.

Personally, i've been using the LA county's free testing program to test myself whenever i've been to a different locale or just been out of town.

The test is free and easy to take, and I get the results back in 2 days.

I don't know if this latest change from the white house will impact my ability to register for a test without showing any symptoms.

But if the registration requirement becomes more difficult, ie, you need to show symptoms or even a doctor's note before getting the testing kit, then I'll know this is the result of the Republican led government turning the pandemic into a political weapon and pushing aside the public good for it's own political gains.

WAPO gets worse and worse. The "journalists" simply can not resist simply reporting the news without adding their personal slant to it.

I heard this news earlier. Could have positive or negative results. The data has been so inaccurate and misleading depending on who is collecting it, reporting it, or interpreting it that this change makes virtually no difference except to further political positions one way or another.

This is what happens when science becomes debatable. We can thank the "merchants of doubt," social media, SJW's, money in politics, and America's horrible education system for virtually all of these problems. The chickens are coming home to roost.
