Again like I told Maruzo. Get out there and go make a difference. Spending time on Xoutpost with only opinions and no action has no merit.

It’s laughable to think that you believe 100% of our population would have followed the presidents order. LOL!

That’s unrealistic.

The virus was always going to do what the virus was going to do, no one was going to stop it. Otherwise, that means you would have been able to stop it. Again the question is, do you want to do it under panic or, calmly?

It’s like you guys want him to come out on the podium and say, “the virus is coming, the virus is coming, run for your lives”!

Again, unrealistic.

How to improve our responses next time something similar happens.

And please stop excusing his inexcusable behavior.

He cocked up the response. Plain and simple.

To say he's the trigger man may be harsh, but he fits that bystander who could have done something to stop it.
I think the key to controlling a virus like COVID-19 is no different that it was for the Spanish flu. While not formalized there was natural social distancing, avoidance of crowds, wearing of masks and good hygiene. The key that has yet to be practiced is expect the worst and respond accordingly and sooner than anyone thinks is necessary. Overreact rather than underreact. Make it priority one by a long shot to save lives. Believe in the science and the experts with a long history of experience dealing with infectious diseases. And 80 plus percent of us do the right thing to protect ourselves and others from the disease.

It is not unrealistic to have hoped that Trump do the right thing and adhere to his adviser's warning and take this thing serious.

I'll give you an example of why his action would have mattered, instead of like you said, it was always going to kill this many people and nothing we did would have mattered.

First of, if he had raised warning one week, just one week earlier than when the administration ultimately decided to start pushing for the social distancing mandates, and we're not even talking about the use of mask yet, he could have saved the lives of 10s of thousands.

That to me is not useless and is well worth the risk of creating his so-called "panic".

And these forecasts aren't just made up by me. It is publicly mentioned and agreed on by many, many scientists.

But he did not bother. In fact he publicly wished that it would just go away.

That is not the thinking of some guy in charge who knew that serious damage is coming and we need to prepare ourselves.

That is the thinking of a man who's never bothered to fight for others or cared for others one single iota.

He does not care for you, Happy. Get that through your head already.

Republican or not, he does not care about your well being, or the well being of the people under his care.

He cares of this new found power he has, and his only goal in office is to make sure he gets another 4 years of it.

That said, your wishful thinking that he just doesn't want to "create panic" can not be further from the truth.

He doesn't not have respect for science. Otherwise, any sane human who gets intelligence report back in February that this is not an ordinary flu, and can very well cause massive infection and death in the country would have heeded the scientists warning and DONE SOMETHING USEFUL about it.

People keep finding excuses for him. As if to justify their voting for him back in 2016, or for justifying their faltering belief that their original investment in him as a leader is not shamefully wasted.

But rather everyone else just didn't see the genius and wisdom of this con man.

That's all he is, really. A con man.

And if you still insist that his real goal was not to "create panic". Then you're very far away from reality.

My fear now for this country is that Covid is not the last species jumping virus we're ever going to see.

I fear that the next new infectious disease is just around the corner. Since the underlying conditions are still present, and the cesspools that foster these mutating agent of disaster is only going to increase, not decrease.

Maybe we'll be better prepared next time around. Maybe we'll learn our lessons and come out stronger the next time around.

But it's not gonna happen if we have another president like this one next time.

Maruzo, let’s take a different approach to your countless political ranting on a vehicle forum.

I’ll ask you this, why are you so miserable?

It's a miserable year for many of us. I don't think you can find silver lining in anything that Trump does regarding the pandemic.

But yeah, keep telling yourself the guy is perfectly ok, and he's completely excusable.

What you see as misery is just another person's discovery of enlightenment over the current situation.

Fire Trump, bring the new guy in and let him fix this country.

Maybe the same time next year we're all gonna feel a lot better because the right man is on the job.

Instead of a con man.

This notion you have of me is completely fabricated by you.

I’ll remind you one last time, Trump has zero relevance in my life.

God, His Son The Christ Jesus, and His Holy Spirit come first and foremost in my life. Then my Wife, then my Kids, and then everyone else.

You’ve got me all wrong brotha! What I will say though, is you have found a way to politicize Xoutpost, and you enjoy it. Also you are demeaning to some members on the forum as well.

All these political figures you are star stuck by have zero bearing in my life. In my opinion you are judgemental of others, and I think it’s unfair you bring that posture to Xoutpost.

The only reason I argue a point with you, is to help you to understand both sides. But you are clearly set in your way, and do not want to understand others point of view.

I do Pray though that you can find a way to do away with your misery, and find peace.

Peace be with you.
